Hey, Fellow Tribeless!
What's on your mind today? I find myself considering "maybe", a gray-scape Nowhereland.
I'll explain. This past summer I had a brilliant stroke of inspiration! I just started writing, not caring what the end product would be. I simply wrote down what was flowing out of me. Within 2 1/2 months, I had written a book, ten chapters plus a prologue and epilogue. Wow! It was raw and honest and poignant and empowering and unlike anything I've ever seen on the bookshelves today.
So, I decided to share it with....well, anyone who might find themselves in it, if that person exists. I began submitting proposals to a handful of publishers (as proposals are harder to write than the manuscript was!).
Months and months have gone by with nothing, no word, no acceptance nor rejection. I find myself living in the land of "Maybe", and it is horrible. That sense of not knowing but also not having control to find the answer. But it got me thinking about the number of times I create my own land of "Maybe" when making decisions. And I realized that with every "maybe", I was actively giving up my personal power.
Connecting to your Truth, to what you believe and feel is in alignment with who you are, is always a Definitive. And "Yes" and "No" answers are definitives expressing your beliefs and Truths. Being aware of who you are, what is important to you and why, is your Ultimate SuperPower that will always steer you in the right direction, whether it's a "Yes" or a "No". So, tap in to your SuperPower the next time you find yourself saying, "Maybe"...
And yesterday, I received my first rejection email! One less land of "Maybe" for me, and it feels great! What are you saying "Maybe" to? How do you really feel about it? Let's get you back on the map to Somewhere.
